Are You New?

What we believe.

We believe that the church is called to be the body of Christ in the world, not just inside the walls of a building on Sunday mornings.

We believe that is up to us to show Christ's love to those who have not experienced it, and to teach Christ's followers how to live the teachings of Christ in their daily lives.

We believe that we come together to encourage, learn, and witness to the love of God. Further, we believe that we can worship God individually, but we can only fully worship and live out the love of God in community.

Therefore, we believe that our presence in church community is vital to our growth spiritually and the spiritual growth of those who worship with us.

We believe that God believes in us, and we believe that God believes in you. Come and experience the love of God with us.

Worship Style

Worship happens in many ways.

Our Parlor service at 8 am in the Parlor is relaxed, casual and informal.  We sing a variety of songs from hymns to praise and worship songs. A small, intimate, service that is comfortably and friendly.

Our Ignite Praise and Worship service at 9 am in the Sanctuary is a contemporary time of praise, prayer, and worship.  Our praise band brings music that is contemporary modern rock in style.  The service is high energy and relevant to current culture, making the bridge from the gospel to how it is applied in our lives.

Our Traditions Service at 11:10 am in the Sanctuary is a liturgical service with traditional hymns, a magnificent organ, and superb choir.  The service is in keeping with the traditional Book of Worship style of worship.  If you are looking for tradition, this is the service for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Is there a dress code?”

People come to our worship service wearing a variety of styles; everything from blue jeans to sports coats, slacks to skirts. Casual dress is common, so you will not feel out of place whether you dress up or dress down.

“Will I have to do anything?”

You can participate as much or as little as you would like. You are encouraged to participate in the worship service as fully as you feel comfortable, so you can have the full experience of worship.

“Why do you sing songs? What if I don”t know the words?”

We sing songs as praise to God. We recognize that we worship and learn in many ways, and many people find the music to be a significant way to connect to and worship God. The words are in the hymnals in the back of the pew in front of you or on the screen.  Page numbers of the hymns are found printed in your bulletin. The music leader will direct you in singing.

“What about bringing children?”

Children are always welcome in our worship services, but we recognize that sometimes parents feel more comfortable and able to fully enter into worship if there is something for their children to do. We provide a nursery with paid staff for infants up to 4 years of age. It is in the east hall, south of the narthex. Greeters or ushers can direct you. There is children's church available for children Kindergarten through 4th grade on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. They go to the Children's Chapel to learn a Bible story, do crafts, and play games. The children leave for Children's church during the worship service, and return on the last song. For the 1st and 3rd Sundays, as well as for older kids, there are notebooks in the narthex (the main hallway) for the children with coloring pages, blank paper, and crayons. All of our children's staff, paid and volunteer, have had a background check and follow our safe sanctuaries policies.

“How long does the service last?”

The service lasts from 10:50 am until approximately noon, and is filled with music, prayer, and is interaction between the leadership and the congregation.
